What is DRY LINING?

Our dry-lining systems provide a simple and effective alternative to traditional wet plaster.

Utilising pre-fabricated plasterboard sheets, dry lining is a much faster process, eliminating the need for drying time before decoration.

Depending on requirements, plasterboards can be bonded directly to the wall, screw-fixed, nailed or even glued to metal sections, wooden battens or framing.
Where sound insulation or thermal insulation is required, this can easily be installed behind the plasterboard.

Dry linings are relatively lightweight and quick to install. An added benefit is that plumbing and electrical services can be installed with a minimum of chasing out required.

Boards can be finished by applying tape and compound to the joints and sanding for a flawless surface. Alternatively, a skim coat of plaster can be applied.
